The Women's Resource Center's Project UpLift, a program aimed at boosting the financial stability of Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) families in Manatee and Sarasota counties, has received a $22,000 grant from United Way Suncoast. Project UpLift aims to help families become financial self-sufficient and emotionally healthy through working with coaches or case managers to create a plan that addresses their needs.
The Women's Resource Center operates three primary central hub locations in the region—Sarasota, Bradenton and Venice—and seeks to meet the needs of more than 400,000 area women.
