All Faiths Food Bank recently received grants from the following organizations in support of its annual Campaign Against Summer Hunger: Feeding America, the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, the Siesta Key Kiwanis Foundation, the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation and St. Boniface Episcopal Church. The annual effort aims to fill the "hunger gap" for children when schools are closed during the summer months. The campaign reaches more than 35,000 students and siblings in Sarasota and DeSoto counties through partnerships with other organizations and various summer programs to provide access to food for as many children and families as possible.
