Gulf Coast Community Foundation has granted $15,000 in funding to Teen Court of Sarasota, Inc. The funds will be used to help reduce recidivism among high-need youth who are referred to Teen Court in lieu of an arrest. Specifically, the grant will support the facilitation of Teen Court’s Camp X-RAYD (Examine the Reality of Your Decisions) program, which includes team building opportunities with law enforcement one Saturday a month. Sarasota County Teen Court services are available in Sarasota and at its satellite location in North Port and boast a 93 percent success rate.
