Sarasota County Schools has announced that Mark Grossenbacher will serve as the new principal of Woodland Middle School in North Port. Grossenbacher, who was principal of Englewood Elementary School for 11 years, also served as an assistant principal at Sarasota Middle School, an assistant principal at Heron Creek Middle School, and coordinator of Assessment, Curriculum, and Instruction at Heron Creek Middle School. Additionally, he taught English and was an assistant football coach and head track and field coach at North Port High School. Grossenbacher will remain in his existing principalship at Englewood Elementary until the end of the 2020-21 school year.
