The University of South Florida recently announced that Charles Tokarz has been appointed chair of the Sarasota-Manatee Campus Advisory Board. Tokarz, a member of the USF board of trustees, is a certified public accountant with more than 40 years of experience in business, finance and financial planning. Currently, he is the vice-president of finance for Sarasota-based Medallion Homes. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Tokarz has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Florida International University and the University of Miami. He received his bachelor of science and master of science in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma. Tokarz also served for four years as an air crewman with the U.S. Navy. His board of trustees assignments include the chair of the Academic and Campus Environment committee and a member of the Finance committee.
