Hermitage Artist Retreat Raises $128,000 at Artful Lobster Event
The 12th Artful Lobster: An Outdoor Celebration luncheon raised funds for the artist residency program.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat recently raised $128,500 at its Artful Lobster fundraising luncheon. For 12 years, the Artful Lobster has raised funds for Hermitage's renowned artist-in-residency program on Manasota Key, where artists across multiple disciplines can work and interact with the community.
About 150 guests attended the sold-out event on Nov. 14. The luncheon took place outdoors, underneath a large tent on the Hermitage's beachfront campus. Flora Major and Leslie Edwards chaired the event, and violinist and Hermitage fellow Ralph Farris headlined the event with original compositions.
