The City of Sarasota administrative offices will be closed on Thanksgiving day and Friday, Nov. 27. Offices will reopen to the public on Monday, Nov. 30 by appointment only.

Waste collection schedules will also be affected. Thursday's collection will occur on Friday, Nov. 27, and Friday's collection will occur on Saturday, Nov. 28. There will be no commercial garbage collection on Thursday.

The following public facilities will be closed on Thursday and Friday: Arlington Park and Aquatic Complex, Payne Park tennis center, Robert L. Taylor Community Complex (Covid-19 testing will be closed Thanksgiving day and will resume at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 27) and the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall.
