Tidewell Hospice has received a $15,900 grant from CareerEdge Funders Collaborative to allow the organization’s registered nurses and certified nursing assistants to obtain advanced hospice certification. The grant will fund training and examination fees for 22 RNs and 10 CNAs. It also grant provides each participant with curriculum and study materials published by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA), a one-year membership to HPNA, and covers the examination fee. Additionally, colleagues are provided flexible study groups facilitated by hospice education specialists.
