During the board of Sarasota County commissioners meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 7, the commission voted unanimously to support awarding PGT Innovations an $129,000 economic development incentive for relocating WinDoor operations to Sarasota County.

PGT Innovations acquired Orlando-based WinDoor in late 2015; it now operates under the PGT Innovations brand and will be relocating operations to the PGT Innovations headquarters in Venice. The expansion plans include the reconfiguration of an existing 90,000 square feet of space,  as well as the construction of an additional 15,000 square feet of space at PGT's facility. The buildout and equipment reflect a $1.7  million capital investment into the local community and the creation of 167 jobs, ranging from upper management to production.
