Carter is chairman of Sarasota-based Carter, whose 30-member team of consultants advises close to four dozen nonprofits each year around the world on strategic planning, governance and fund-raising campaigns. His advice is upbeat, inspiring and useful for all nonprofits today. Some of the biggest takeaways: Don’t wait for the pandemic to go away. Those organizations that go dormant may not survive. It’s time to communicate, innovate and plan, and Carter has tips for how to do this.
