The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee, AJC - American Jewish Committee and the Heller Community Relations Committee will host a "No Hate. No Fear" rally at JD Hamel Park on the Sarasota bayfront from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2020. Sarasota-Manatee residents of all backgrounds and religions are invited to stand with the organizations in solidarity against hate, especially in light of recent attacks on the Jewish community throughout the country. The New York Times reports that there has been a rise in anti-Semitic hate crimes across the country, and that acts of violence against the Jewish community in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles are poised to hit an 18-year peak.

The event is supported by Diocese of Venice in Florida, Islamic Society of Sarasota, NAACP - Sarasota Chapter, Sarasota Ministerial Association, Sarasota-Manatee Rabbinical Association and UnidosNow. Security will be provided through local law enforcement; attendees should bring their own chairs if they need a place to sit. For more information, click here
