AdFed Suncoast, the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), has confirmed the three-member panel that will judge entries in the local 2019-2020 American Advertising Awards (ADDY) competition. They include Matthew Wengerd of A Fine Press in Lakeland, Florida; Anne Grigsby of Grigsby Design in West Palm Beach, Florida; and Tim Boatright, creative director at Vistra Communications in Lutz, Florida Open to advertising and communication professionals throughout Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, Hardee, DeSoto, Highlands and Glades counties, the ADDY Awards honor creative excellence in advertising. Advertising professionals are invited to submit their work in consideration for the awards; all entries must be received by 5 p.m. on Jan. 17, 2020. Judging will be conducted the weekend of Jan. 24. Judges will review entries submitted in all areas of online, nontraditional, print and broadcast advertising. All finalists will be notified by the week of Feb. 2, 2020, and winners will be honored at a black-tie gala on Feb. 23, 2020. The AAF is based in Washington, D.C., and has more than 40,000 members through nearly 200 local advertising clubs.
