Consumers Increasingly Expect Free Shipping With Online Orders
Three quarters of consumers expect free shipping on orders under $50, according to a new National Retail Federation survey.

An increasing percentage of American shoppers expect free delivery for online orders, even on purchases that cost less than $50, according to new survey results published by the National Retail Federation. Overall, 75 percent of consumers expect free shipping on orders under $50; that's up from 68 percent last year. According to the survey, 88 percent of Baby Boomers expect free shipping, as do 77 percent of those in Generation X, 61 percent of millennials and 76 percent of people born in 1995 or later.
