The School Board of Manatee County voted Tuesday to approve Cynthia Saunders as the district's next superintendent. Saunders will serve as superintendent following Diana Greene, who was named superintendent in Duval County, and will be sworn in on Thursday, June 28. Saunders has more than 28 years of experience in education as a teacher, assistant principal and principal, as well as in leadership positions in curriculum and staff development and more.
