“We’re honored to welcome Michael as our incoming president,” says Federation executive director Howard Tevlowitz. “He’s a force for good in the community—well known for his leadership and philanthropic engagement. We’re extremely fortunate to have this strong leader and I look forward to working with him as we guide The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee forward into the next decade and beyond."

A retired CPA and senior partner at Ernst & Young, Ritter moved to the Sarasota-Manatee region in 2006 from northeast Ohio, where he still serves on the board and administrative committee for the Jewish Federation of Cleveland.

“The Sarasota-Manatee region is home to thousands of engaged Jewish people who strive to enhance our community’s vibrancy and wellbeing,” says Ritter. “As the Federation’s new board president, I look forward to working with them—and with the dedicated Federation staff and volunteers—on initiatives that serve our mission and address challenges the Jewish people face locally and around the world.”

In addition to his Federation involvement, Ritter currently serves as board chair of The Perlman Music Program/Suncoast and is also on the boards of the Israel Tennis Centers Foundation and Parkwood LLC.
