Sarasota Company Helping Restore Cell Service in Puerto Rico

A vessel loaded with vehicles, equipment, relief materials and personnel from Sarasota's USA Groups departed from Port Manatee for San Juan, Puerto Rico, this week. USA Groups plans to use the equipment and personnel to help restore cellular communications in Puerto Rico, which lost more than 80 percent of its cell tower capabilities because of damage caused by Hurricane Maria, which made landfall there a month ago. This is the first of three planned similar shipments by USA Groups, which designs, builds and manages cellular infrastructure and more.
