The Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County is holding its 2017 annual meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Hyatt Regency, 1000 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota. The program will include the presentation of the corporation's Legacy Awards, the Clyde Nixon Business Leadership Award and the Ringling College Innovation By Creative Design Award. Tickets are $70-$800.
