Single Stream Recyclers—based in Cocoa, Florida—is planning to build a new facility in north Sarasota and hire up to 80 new employees by the end of 2018. The new facility will be located at 3901 Orange Ave., Sarasota, in the greater Newtown area. It will be roughly 97,750 square feet, substantially larger than the company's 63,750-square-foot facility in Cocoa. Single Stream Recyclers is a private company that sorts, bales and ships paper, cardboard, aluminum, plastics, metal, glass and other recyclables from residential curbside and commercial recycling collection.
