Florida Rep. Wengay Newton, D-St. Petersburg, whose district includes portions of Palmetto, Bradenton and Sarasota, is offering an informational wrap-up on the state Legislature's recently concluded legislative session at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at the Fogartyville Community Media and Arts Center, 525 Kumquat Court, Sarasota. In particular, Newton will focus on the Legislature's actions on education, Medicaid, the juvenile justice system and access to affordable housing.
