The Women’s Resource Center is offering two new programs starting in May. Get Connected is an opportunity for people new to the area, empty-nesters and women going through life transitions to meet new friends, learn new skills and explore the community. The group meets 5:30-6:30 p.m. every Tuesday May 2-June 6, at 1926 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. The fee per session is $2. The Center’s newly revamped Challenge program, meanwhile, teaches new skills for women to become better equipped to embrace and celebrate their lives. The program, facilitated by Dr. Ellen Akhavein, is divided into six units. The first two units are “Who Am I?” and “What Is Causing Me Stress?” Click here for details on that program and its schedule.
