Mojos Real Cuban, which opened its first restaurant in Lakewood Ranch in February of 2016 and followed up with a second location on South Osprey Avenue in Sarasota last July, is expanding south to Venice. Permitting has started on a site at Jacaranda Plaza off U.S. 41.

The Venice restaurant is expected to seat 75-80 customers and will feature an outdoor patio. It will also offer table service.

Mojos features a Chipotle-like concept in which patrons can choose various combinations to form bowls or platters. It is currently ranked No. 1 for Cuban food in Sarasota on Yelp.
