Manasota SCORE, a business mentoring group, is offering a new workshop, How to Apply for a Small Business Administration Loan, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, at Selby Library, 1331 First St., Sarasota. The workshop is designed to help small businesses navigate the loan application process; topics include what lenders want, sources for conventional and Small Business Administration loans and how to select a bank. It will also cover where to obtain credit reports and scores and their importance, the creation and processing of loan documents, how to buy real estate for your business and common mistakes.
