Developers Celebrate Launch of New Whitaker Bayou Project
The development team behind The Strand, a new waterfront condo coming to north Sarasota, celebrated the project's launch during a party that drew more than 350 attendees last Wednesday.

The development team behind The Strand, a new waterfront condo coming to north Sarasota, celebrated the project's launch during a party that drew more than 350 attendees last Wednesday. The party included live music, champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Located at 1889 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, The Strand will include three buildings with 156 condominium units and 47 private boat slips. The building was designed by Hoyt Architects and includes a swimming pool, fitness center, dog park, boardwalk and a kayak and paddleboard launch area.
