The commercial construction company Halfacre Construction Company recently broke ground on a new 7,200-square-foot building for the Manatee County Utilities Department in Bradenton. Slated for completion in July, the building will house Manatee County's growing utilities department staff and several conference rooms. The structure has been designed to meet the maximum energy code in Florida, with the roof and building ready for future solar panels. The building will be located at 4410 66th St. W., Bradenton.
