Atlanta Braves Reps to Discuss Spring Training Relocation Tuesday

Representatives from Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves will attend the next Sarasota County Commission meeting to 'publicly introduce themselves and express their desire to relocate spring training operations to Sarasota County.'

Representatives from Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves will attend the next Sarasota County Commission meeting to "publicly introduce themselves and express their desire to relocate spring training operations to Sarasota County," according to a media advisory issued Monday by Sarasota County. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24. The Braves are currently negotiating details of the relocation with the county and the developers behind south county's West Villages. According to the release, Sarasota County administrator Tom Harmer will also "present an overview of the proposed project, the general terms and the next steps in the discussions."
