Applications Available for Free 'Introduction to Business' Course

A combination of local government agencies, workforce development organizations and businesses are partnering to offer a Community Entrepreneur Opportunity Introduction to Business Development Course that runs Jan. 31-March 21, at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex, 1845 John Rivers St., Sarasota. Participants will have a chance to assess their entrepreneurial skills, determine if they have a strong business concept and look at the next steps toward starting a business. Classes are free, and take place 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays. For more information and applications, call 941-365-2200, ext. 3220, or email [email protected]. The CEO course is a partnership between the City of Sarasota's Newtown/North Sarasota Redevelopment Office, Sarasota County, CareerSource Suncoast and SCORE, and is sponsored by SunTrust Bank and Wells Fargo.
