Halfacre Construction Company recently wrapped up improvements to the west phase of Sarasota's Myrtle Street ahead of schedule. Halfacre acted as construction manager for the $1.2 million project. Funded and approved by Sarasota County, the updates included milling and resurfacing the south side of the corridor, improving pedestrian lighting and installing a sidewalk and a new pedestrian bridge over Whitaker Bayou. The west phase improvements began in early April.
