The Manatee County Commission last week voted in favor of a plan to rezone 358.5 acres of land in Bradenton to make way for Peninsula Bay, a mixed-use development that will include 1,950 residential units, eight bed and breakfast rooms, 90,000 square feet of commercial, retail and office space, dry boat storage for 200 boats and a boat ramp and marina basin. The project will be located north of Cortez Road W., near 115th St. W. The development will also include a 67-acre lake and a waterfront area for shopping and dining.
