The Sarasota-based architectural firm Sweet Sparkman Architects recently added three new architects: Karl Bernard, Jourdana LaFate and Matt Ferguson. Bernard is a recent transplant from New Orleans, where he designed and developed many notable projects. LaFate, meanwhile, brings large scale project management experience to Sweet Sparkman and Ferguson is a Sarasota native who has worked in Roanoke, Virginia, and Tampa. The recent hires are part of the company’s overall strategic growth plan. Sweet Sparkman has recently been awarded several projects, including the new Venice Public Library for Sarasota County and the Charlotte County Justice Center Expansion for the 20th Judicial Circuit Court.
