Sagacity Media’s award-winning publications Sarasota Magazine and 941CEO and other company titles announced on Monday their upcoming relocation to 1500 State Street in downtown Sarasota at the intersection of State Street and Lemon Avenue. Developed by a partnership among Dr. Mark Kauffman, Joe Hembree, Thomas Jackson and Elita Krums-Kane, and designed by Hoyt Architects, the six-story, mixed-used building broke ground today. The first two floors of the building will contain 16,000 square feet of retail and office space. Magazine offices will occupy approximately 7,000 square feet on the second floor. Other tenants will include S’macks Burgers & Shakes, Optional Art and RE/MAX Platinum Realty. The top four floors will contain 20 condominiums, 11 of which already have been sold. The building is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.
