The new television show Claws will begin shooting in the area soon. The program, which will be executive-produced by Rashida Jones and her business partner Will McCormack in association with Warner Horizon Television and TNT Original Productions, “follows the rise and fall of five diverse and treacherous Florida manicurists in the traditionally male world of organized crime,” according to a Warner Bros. release. “We will soon find out there is a lot more going on at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon than silk wraps and pedicures.” The Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office is currently looking for crew members; email your résumé to [email protected] if you are interested.
