The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation recently donated $15,000 to Habitat for Humanity Sarasota’s affordable housing mission. Wells Fargo employees also provided 60 hours of community service at a Habitat Sarasota build site in the Newtown community on Sept. 17. 

Allegiant Private Advisors announced last week that it has contributed more than $125,000 over the past five years to a wide range of charitable causes.

Art Center Sarasota's Iconcept Jr. runway fashion show, which takes place from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, will benefit the center's young audience by providing scholarships for youth art camps and the Slice of Art Outreach Program, offered free to local public schools. The fashion show will feature outfits created by kids ages 8-18. Tickets are $25-$75.

From now through the end of October, Cool Today is raising money for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. For every resident who posts a picture of the company's newly painted pink truck on the company's Facebook page, the company will donate $5 to the breast cancer awareness organization, and for everyone who posts a selfie, the company will donate $10.

During the month of October, Coastal Carwash, located at 4630 53rd Ave. E., Bradenton, will donate $1 for every car wash purchased and $5 for every new membership signup to Susan G. Komen Florida Suncoast, which provides funding for breast health education and breast cancer screenings and research.
