Downtown Farmers' Market Asks City for Backup Plan During Construction Projects

The Sarasota Farmers Market announced Sunday that it is asking the City of Sarasota to look at a plan to relocate vendors on Lemon and State Streets, due to pending construction in the area.

The Sarasota Farmers Market announced Sunday that it is asking the City of Sarasota to look at a plan to relocate vendors on Lemon and State Streets, due to pending construction in the area. With the construction of The Mark and more, the market will have trouble surviving on Lemon and State during construction, according to a press release.  A total of 60 vendors could be displaced. Market leadership has asked city staff about the possibility of utilizing First Street, between Lemon and Orange Avenues.
