Last week’s $2.2 million sale of a 4.61-acre parcel of commercial land at 102 N. Tamiami Trail in Nokomis should pave the way for a new 100-room Hilton Home2 Suites to open on the site later this year. Situated on the southwest corner of Tamiami Trail and Albee Road less than a mile from Casey Key, Nokomis Beach and the Gulf of Mexico, the commercial property was purchased by Casey Key Hospitality LLC. The buyers are also the principles behind the new Hotel Sarasota that will be built on North Palm Avenue in downtown Sarasota. Demolition and site preparation for the hotel is currently underway.
Light industrial properties at 6120 and 6150 Porter Road, Sarasota, were sold by Robert and Mary Price to SWFL Tractor (swfltractor.com) for $800,000. The buildings totaled 12,071 square feet; the land included 1.87 acres. Bill Rex and Elliot Rose of Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT handled the transaction.
Sarazota, LLC purchased a 4,101-square-foot office condominium at 2100 Proctor Road, Sarasota, for $600,000. Janet Robinson and Samuel Konkel of Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT represented the seller; Rudi Weiss of Charity & Weiss International Realty represented the buyer.
New Castle Masonry has leased 1,000 square feet of office and warehouse space at 7353 International Place in Lakewood Ranch. Tom Burrows and Joe Hembree of Hembree & Associates represented the property owner. White Rose Interiors has also leased 1,000 square feet of office and warehouse space there.
On Dec. 30, Ingram & Ingram Attorneys at Law, P.A. purchased an office condo located at 7365 Merchant Court, Suite J, Sarasota, for $210,000. Michele Fuller and Stacy Rosenberg of Ian Black Real Estate represented the buyer in the transaction.
