We wrote about this year’s HGTV Ultimate House Hunt when three Siesta Key homes were finalists. Now it’s drumroll time for the overall winner.

Gulf of Mexico views from the southern tip of Siesta Key

This beachfront stunner on the southern tip of Siesta Key, located at 7340 Point of Rocks Road, took the overall win, earning the most votes among 84 national finalists. More than 1.2 million votes were cast to determine the winners in eight categories: Amazing Kitchens, Beachfront Homes, Countryside Retreats, Curb Appeal, Downtown Dwellings, Homes With a History, Outdoor Escapes and Waterside Homes.

The home is perched 12 feet above the shore.

The Siesta Key address received the most votes among all finalists in all categories, as well as winning the Beachfront Homes category. It’s set 12 feet above the Gulf of Mexico on a rocky cliff overlooking the water—a special treat amid Florida’s flatness. Down a flight of wooden stairs, you’ll find ancient limestone rocks, with tide pools that are home to crabs and other sea creatures.

The pool and hot tub

The property spans 15,523 square feet. Inside, the two-story main home includes five remodeled en-suite bedrooms, plus an updated one-bedroom, one-bath guesthouse with an adjoining three-car garage and a large swimming pool with jacuzzi separating the two.

Voters loved this coastal blue remodeled kitchen.

The dining area

Point of Rocks is a tucked-away gem just north of Sanderling, near the shopping center at the Stickney Point bridge.

It’s the perfect mix of old-fashioned Siesta Key blended with up-to-date luxury, kind of like this home, which was originally built in 1936, but recently updated with all the latest must-haves for those who can afford them.

The main bedroom with shiplap ceiling

We wrote about this show-stopper when it was for sale in 2020 for $4 million. It sold the next year for $3.8 million and is now listed for just less than $6 million.
