More than 1.5 million votes were cast to determine the winners of this year's HGTV Ultimate House Hunt Competition. Sixty-six finalists in eight categories included countryside retreats, downtown dwellings, homes with a history and waterside homes–the category this home won.

This five-bedroom, six-bathroom British West Indies retreat in Lido Shores has 80 feet of water frontage with private beach access overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Situated on almost an acre, it has two main suites—one on the main level with a terrace, and another on the top level with an attached room that includes a built-in wine cooler, coffee maker and dishwasher drawer. A separate guest wing on the mid-level features a kitchenette, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. An outdoor kitchen and dining area overlook the outdoor pool. There's also a private dock, boat lift and double jet ski lift.

Built in 2013, the home recently sold on July 19 for $7.7 million. The seller was represented by Barbara May with Michael Saunders & Company and the buyer was represented by the Zarghami Group/Keller Williams Classic Group.
