A home in the Sanderling Club, a Ritz-Carlton penthouse in the Residences of the Ritz, a Siesta Key home on Roberts Point Circle and a Bradenton home on Palma Sola Bay designed by Jerry Sparkman of Sweet Sparkman Architecture and Interiors are on the roster of this year’s Tour of Homes, which is sponsored by Robert Toale & Sons.

Due to the pandemic, this year the tour is exclusively online and features homes that wouldn't have been accessible otherwise. The event typically attracts about 1,000 people, and logistics for parking and accessing a private, gated enclave like the Sanderling Club, for instance, wouldn’t have been possible.

“This year we made sure all four homes wouldn't be possible to see in person, to make the experience extra special,” Nicole Zimmerman, chair of the Tour of Homes, says.

Two of the homes are on the market. The Sanderling Club home, just shy of 11,000 square feet, is listed for $14 million. The Ritz penthouse, almost 5,000 square feet, is listed for $3.75 million.

But the tour isn't about home shopping. It's more about gawking at top-level design and lavish styles, much like leafing through Vogue Magazine for inspiration. Tour-goers will also enjoy demonstrations, tips and tricks from local talent including a mixologist, a vegan chef, a flower arranger and a professional organizer, among others. Recorded in advance, the tour lasta approximately one hour; ticket holders receive a link they can click on at their convenience.

Event proceeds benefit the Junior League of Sarasota’s charitable community initiatives, including its signature project, Aging out of Foster Care. A silent auction and chance drawing will be held in advance, virtually, and in person at the "Toast of the Tour" happy hour. Ticket purchasers will have the chance to bid on auction packages here, including items from Kendra Scott, Charlotte’s Grace Fine Linens & Luxe Home Accents, Burn Boot Camp, Artisan Cheese Company, Row House and more.

Tickets are $40 and are available until 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 7. The tour goes live at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 5, and extends through the weekend. VIP tickets for $45 include an in-person “Toast of the Tour” happy hour at Mattison’s City Grill in downtown Sarasota on Saturday, March 6, at 3:30 p.m. and include a drink on the house. Happy hour spots are limited due to Covid-19 restrictions.
