Homebuilder Confidence Steady
America's Housing Market Index reading is 68 this month, the same as in June. It had risen as high as 74 last December before declining.

Economic confidence among American homebuilders is holding steady in July, according to new survey results released by the National Association of Home Builders and Wells Fargo. Their most recent Housing Market Index reading is 68, the same as in June. The index had risen as high as 74 last December before declining earlier this year. Builder confidence remained the highest in the West, followed by the South, the Midwest and the Northeast.
