A $3 million house deserves a $3 million lot, but very few have them. This estate out in Hi Hat Ranch—just east of I-75, on 3.29 acres—does, and it makes all the difference. Instead of being tooth and jowl with the neighbors, it rambles along, all spread out and enjoying the wonderful view of a lake and forest.

It was built in 2006 and it’s big—over 6,400 square feet. It has all the features of an expensive custom home: heated pool and spa, home theater with bar, outdoor kitchen with premium appliances (there’s a pretty nice one indoors, too), a workout room, an office with its own bath and yet another bar.

The home was built by Arthur Rutenberg and has the Rutenberg look. The proportions are excellent and the details (check out the stone accents) are understated but very expensive-looking. The screened area around the pool is enormous (2,000 square feet) and blends nicely with the spectacular setting. There is wildlife everywhere, including bobcats, foxes, gators, and even, I am told, a few wild boars.

10862 Leafwing Drive is priced at $2.9 million. For more information call Susan McLeod of Michael Saunders and Co. at (941) 928-4445.
