Through a partnership with Community Assisted and Supported Living (CASL), support from local and state community partners, and a grant from the Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, National Alliance on Mental Illness Sarasota and Manatee Counties (NAMI) has announced that it will be able to continue its drop-in services, called You Are Not Alone (YANA), which offer participants the chance to share their experiences and receive support from others.

Moving forward, NAMI will be able to integrate its support and education programs in both north and south Sarasota County. Under this model, members and peer-staff work together to design program activities to support participants on their individual paths to mental wellness and recovery.

Mental illness impacts nearly every family, with one in five adults experiencing mental illness each year and one in 20 U.S. adults experiencing serious mental illness each year.
