Atomic Holiday Bazaar returns to the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium this year.

Atomic Holiday Bazaar will return to the Sarasota Municipal Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15. The popular annual event features a range of handmade indie, artsy-crafty items. It was closed for two seasons due to the Covid-19 pandemic, then reopened at Robarts Arena last year while downtown construction for The Bay Sarasota and city streets took place.

But, says producer Adrien Lucas, it was always the goal to return to the event to its original site at the Municipal Auditorium.

In addition to vendors setting up inside the auditorium, this year's bazaar will also feature the Atomic Street Fair. Lucas' new business partner, Monica Eshkoli, will lead that effort. Eshkoli has a robust retail and event production background, and she and her husband, Nir, also have an extensive history with Atomic, either working as vendors or helping Lucas in various capacities. The street fair will take on Plaza De Santo Domingo, which is comprised of two one way streets between the Municipal Auditorium and the Art Center. The fair will also offer food trucks, and "rolling wheels" retail experiences, in which vendors can set up in their refurbished school buses, vintage trailers or 10-foot-by-10-foot tents.

The main room for Atomic’s municipal auditorium vendors is sold out already; however, the auditorium's Bay Front Room will be opened in order to accommodate more makers. Applications to apply for either the Street Fair or the Bay Front room are available at the Atomic Holiday Bazaar website.

The first 100 people who enter the main auditorium at the beginning of each day will receive tote bags from the Bradentucky Bombers roller derby league. Totes feature artwork created specifically for the show and are filled with vendor swag and coupons that may be used during the bazaar.

Admission to the Main Auditorium is $6 for adults; kids ages 12 and under get in free. The Bay Front room and Street Fair are free to enter, and food trucks and the auditorium cantina will be open for hungry shoppers.
