Pantone 2014 Color of the Year: RADIANT ORCHID
If you haven’t heard, Pantone–the global authority on color–recently announced it’s 2014 Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid. After their annual survey with the designers behind New York Fashion Week and beyond, Pantone unanimously agreed upon this surprisingly vibrant color that will easily pair with the pastels we saw all over the spring runways.
And, according to Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®, the color of 2014 is “an invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today’s society.” She continues, “An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”
With that in mind, I took the liberty of rounding up a few items locally, and one Internet find, that you can easily add into your wardrobe to stay on trend…
