(Left) BEFORE: Bland weekend comfort clothes defined Jim’s work look; (RIGHT) AFTER: A strong, modern style allows Jim to work comfortably and look good whether he’s behind the camera or in meetings.Jim Flynn, the owner of InterMedia Productions in Sarasota, which specializes in corporate marketing video, TV commercials and web video, usually puts his video subjects in the spotlight. Now it’s his turn.

TASK: To transition Jim from weekend casual to smart business casual.

JIM’S GOAL: “I want to achieve an updated look that is comfortable to work in.”

JACKIE’S APPROACH:  “Jim needed an upgrade in business casual style and fit. Since a typical day could be client meetings and several hours of filming, his clothes need to work for both environments. I started with corduroys as an alternative to denim or traditional khakis. They give him an up-to-date look and they are comfy. I selected the purple cashmere sweater for its style, slim cut and rich color to complement his skin tone. Accessories are the finishing touches to any outfit—even for men—so, to pull it all together, I added brown suede shoes, a leather belt and bold watch. To complete the look, I chose a pair of tortoise semi-rimmed glasses and a modern haircut.”

JIM’S REACTION: “It took some nudging to get me to try something new, but when I put everything on, I could instantly see the difference the right clothes make. The style, fit, colors and textures were incredibly on target for my business. I feel great.”
