Insomnia Cookies, a national chain bakery renowned for servicing those who can't sleep—or choose not to—is opening this Saturday, Feb. 21, on Gulf Gate Drive.  Sundays through Wednesdays, the bakery will offer its goods until 1 a.m., and Thursdays through Saturdays it will stay open until a whopping 3 a.m.—perfect for the neighborhood's nighttime party animals craving a sweet treat.

The new Sarasota location marks the company's 16th Florida store and 348th store nationwide. Customers can swing by the bakery for pickup, or order delivery to stay safe and off the roads if they've participated in late-night shenanigans.

Saturday's grand opening event will last all day and night, beginning at noon, and those who sign up for the bakery's rewards program that day will be gifted a free cookie, with flavors including chocolate chunk, snickerdoodle, cookies and cream, and many more options (the bakery offers vegan and gluten-free varieties, too).
