When Farlow's on the Water opened in Englewood in 2003 on Ainger Creek, it swiftly became a neighborhood staple, thanks to its consistent cuisine that fuses owners Keith and Laurie Farlow's Southern and Caribbean culinary backgrounds with traditional Floridian fare.

Now, the Farlows are focusing their energy on a new concept on historic Dearborn Street in Englewood: a steakhouse called Chophouse285. It's going to be big—like, 340 seats big.

“The location at 285 Dearborn Street exudes a distinctive character all on its own,” Keith Farlow says in a press release. “Now our job is to honor that character with cuisine and service that lives up to the rich hospitality of our own roots, as well as the history of this place.”

Located on the corner of West Dearborn Street and South Mango Street, Chophouse285 will open this fall and feature traditional steakhouse offerings from executive chef Austin Davis. The menu centers around wood-grilled steaks that are aged on-site in the restaurant's dedicated dry-aging room.

“We saw an opportunity to branch out into new culinary horizons, while continuing to serve the place and the people we love,” says Laurie Farlow.

Chophouse285 will open this Fall at 285 W. Dearborn St., Englewood. For more information, click here.
