Homegrown doughnut shop Five-O Donut Co is celebrating the grand opening of its fifth location this weekend Dec. 15-17. The new location will be in Ellenton, near the Ellenton Premium Outlets.

“We are ecstatic to be opening in the Ellenton market. It’s been a long time coming, and we have had a lot of demand in this area. It’s in a great location, close to the Premium Outlets, and we are excited to roll out some new branding we have been working on,” Christine Nordstrom, owner of Five-O Donut Co, said in a press release.

Five-O opened its original Ringling Boulevard location in 2017 and has since added doughnut outposts from South Sarasota to Bradenton, which all feature creative flavor combinations like banana-and-peanut-butter-filled, cherry cheesecake, Nutella s'mores. The crowd-favorite glazed croissant doughnut will be a mainstay, too.

For its grand opening celebration, Five-O has partnered with a local toy charity and requests that visitors bring an unwrapped toy in exchange for a complimentary simple-style doughnut.
