The Perlman Music Program (PMP) Suncoast has announced the schedule for its annual winter residency in Sarasota, which provides educational and performance opportunities to classical string musicians between the ages of  14 and 20.

Founded in 1994 by Toby Perlman, a Juilliard-trained musician and the wife of the world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman, students from all over the world apply to participate in PMP's winter residency via an intensive audition process. If accepted, they relocate to Sarasota for daily lessons from Itzhak Perlman and other PMP faculty.

Throughout the residency, the public is invited to attend a variety of free events, including orchestra and chorus rehearsals, student work-in-progress recitals and masterclasses, and PMP alumni also return to town to perform free concerts throughout the winter. The residency culminates in a celebration concert by the PMP 2025-2026 winter residents and a gala dinner.
