Sarasota Opera Announces 2025-2026 Anniversary Season

Sarasota Opera has announced its 2025-2026 season along with 100th anniversary celebration of the Sarasota Opera House in April 2026.
After a two-year hiatus, the opera is bringing back its fall performance in October 2025 with Così fan tutte, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, followed by the Sarasota Youth Opera’s production of Hans Krása’s Brundibár.
The opera's winter festival will open in February 2026 with Puccini’s La bohème and continue with The Merry Widow by Franz Lehár, Il trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi, and Susannah by Carlisle Floyd.

On April 11, 2026, the company will put a gala event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Sarasota Opera House. It will include a concert at the opera house, followed by a dinner at Michael’s on the Bay at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.
Casting for the season will be announced at a later date. Subscriptions for all five operas and special events will go on sale on March 17, 2025. Tickets to individual operas will go on sale online on Aug. 1, 2025, and via phone or in person at the opera house box office beginning Sept. 2, 2025. For more information, click here.
