The creative conference PINC (People, Ideas, Nature, Creativity) will return for its fifth year from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. The event, created by DreamLarge, the philanthropic arm of the web development company AtLarge, and presented by Ringling College of Art and Design, is intended to present a diverse selection inspiring, creative speakers. Announced speakers so far include Nashra Balagamwala and John Marzluff. Balagamwala is an experiential designer from Pakistan who specializes in game and event design; she transforms controversial and sensitive cultural topics into unique games, designs and experiences. Marzluff, meanwhile, studies birds and how humans affect them through urbanization, along with the way birds affect people, art and language. PINC takes place at the Sarasota Opera House, 61 N. Pineapple Ave., Sarasota. Tickets go on sale Thursday, Sept. 6.
