The Sarasota radio station WSRQ is changing its programming from talk radio to music beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, June 29.

The Sarasota radio station WSRQ (106.9 FM and 1220 AM) is changing its programming from talk radio to music beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, June 29. HitlandSRQ, as the station will be known, will play mostly music of the 1960s and '70s; the station will still broadcast its Suncoast Morning show, which focuses on local news. The programming will be broadcast on 106.9 FM.
